Abilene Idol 2021 Misty Calk loves karaoke nights with family & friends, kayaking on Lake Abilene, cycling with her boys, playing her baby grand piano, stargazing with friend Ashley, and playing guitar & singing on the porch swing with her parents! She has sung and performed for most of her life, directed choirs, and served as a music minister at 3 different churches. Misty is now Director of Food Services at Shades of Hope Treatment Center, where her favorite time is sitting around the piano sharing her music.

3rd place winner of Abilene Idol 2021 Samantha Teague, mom of 3, is a member of the 489th Bomb Group at Dyess and an outdoor enthusiast who loves camping, hiking, horseback riding, shooting, and playing with her dog and chickens. She plays violin and while at the U.S Air Force Academy was a member of the Cadet Show Choir, as well as the Chorale and Orchestra. She and her family have lived in Abilene for 7 years and she has sung with the Chorus Abilene since 2019. She says, “I wasn't born in Texas but I got here as quick as I could!”
